Renowned photographer Rankin identified a gap in the market with his latest exhibition celebrating loose and unstable teeth in children.

The British snapper set out to challenge the notion of perfect teeth with the photos, saying he wanted to “inspire children to embrace their uniqueness and realize that perfection is subjective”.

He photographed eight primary school children for this weekend's show at Black & White Soho on Greek Street.

A survey by dental health company Aquafresh found that nearly half of British children aged four to 11 are worried about the appearance of their teeth, with a third (36%) saying they are sometimes embarrassed to smile or laugh because of the condition of their teeth. teeth.

“Perfection is an attitude, so being able to help kids embrace their wonky, wonky teeth and realize that what makes perfect teeth doesn't matter,” Rankin said. Let's challenge the status quo and encourage kids to be unique and confidence.
