WGTC’s Dental Hygiene Class of 2024 Achieves 100% Pass Rate on CRDTS Exam

West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) is proud to announce that the Dental Hygiene Class of 2024 achieved a 100% pass rate on the Central Region Dental Testing Service (CRDTS) exam.

As part of the licensure requirements, the CRDTS examination assesses dental hygiene students' professional knowledge, skills, abilities, and judgment of clinical skills to prepare them for the practice of dental hygiene.

Bailey Black of Senoa, Kiara Bolden of Dallas, Haley Burgess of Heflin, Ala., Thetaly Cisneros of Kennesaw, Macy A. of Tallapoosa. Edge, Mary Katherine Ferguson of Newnan, Lucy Futrall of Carrollton, Madison Langford of Vera Rica, Morgan McLeod of Bowdoin, Sabree Mooradian of Na Newnan and Gabrielle Tolder of Atlanta will graduate from WGTC in May with associate degrees in dental hygiene. Upon successful completion of the National Board of Dental Hygiene written examination, all graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce as a registered dental hygienist upon obtaining licensure in Georgia or elsewhere.

“This is a hard-working group of students, and for all of our students to pass on the first try is an incredible accomplishment,” said Melondy Martin, Dental Hygiene Clinical Coordinator. “The dental community will soon have another group of great oral health leaders.”

The Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene is an 83-credit program. Upon completion of this competitive and challenging program, students will be prepared for employment in dental offices, community and educational settings, and in the public health and insurance industries.
