The Division of Oral Health is dedicated to preventing dental disease among the citizens of Alabama by promoting and developing high-quality, cost-effective community and school-based prevention, education, and early treatment programs that emphasize eliminating oral health disparities.

Oral health is an important part of lifelong health. No one can be truly healthy until they are free from the burden of oral diseases and conditions. Millions of people in the United States suffer from tooth decay and periodontal disease, causing unnecessary pain and suffering.

The Oral Health Division has developed the following materials to help Alabamians understand the benefits of healthy teeth and gums.
